I am open to the idea of open relationships. I though am currently in a monogamous relationship that was open at first, but my boyfriend, Matt, this was his first relationship and so after about a month we closed it.

My opinion on open relationships is that if you trust your partner and know that at the end of the day their love goes only to you, then it is okay. I was in a closed relationship for 3 1/2 years. it was my first relationship and towards the end curiosity was getting the better of me. After having sex with only one person ever, at that time, my mind began to wander, and I cheated. After we broke up I had sex with just about anybody that paid attention to me on bear411, I guess I was rebelling the closed relationship and experimenting.

Can they work? Yes they can! I’ve met quite a few open couples, one of which I am now good friends with, and with the right people they can work and jealousy has to never be an issue.
